The company La Molara® is a quite recent company that started at the beginning of the new millennium, in 2002, thanks to the will of the founder Attilio Colucci and his passion for wine and for his land of origin Luogosano (Avellino). The estate covers an area of approximately 10 hectares of land, 7 of which are cultivated with vineyards, and 3 are cultivated with olive trees. The vineyards are mainly recently built with spurred cordon intensive planting, they are cultivated in accordance with the integrated agricultural techniques. The winemaking takes place exclusively under the classic oenological vinification techniques, aimed at exploiting to the maximum the aromas and valuable characteristics of the hand picked and selected grapes used to make the La Molara’s wines. Although quite new in the Italian and international wine market La Molara is a very dynamic company, paying particular attention to combining local traditions with new technologies in winemaking. It begins to find its own space in a market niche thanks to the quality of its products.
Following the Irpinia’s tradition the wines are exclusively produced from autochthones grapes of Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
